Activities Day 3

Early Morning

• 
  We will pick you up from the Green Mountain Hotel in the early morning hours and transfer by Road to the Machame Gate. With about a 2-hour drive from Arusha to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, Machame Gate.
  During this drive, you’ll pass through the village of Machame, situated on the lower slopes of the mountain.

Rest of Day

  Your mountain climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. will start with registration. After finishing at the registration and final preparations at the park gate, the trek commences as you venture into the rainforest. You’ll follow a winding trail up a ridge. In the lower sections, the trail can be muddy and slippery, so gaiters and trekking poles are advisable.
  You'll continue along the trail through the rainforest until you reach the Machame Camp, where you’ll set up camp for the night.
  The trek will take 5 - 7 hours until we reach the Machame Campsite, where you stay overnight at around 3100 meters.

Activity Day 6

  On this day after breakfast, we leave the Barranco campsite and continue on the steep ridge up the adventurous Barranco Wall and through the Karanga Valley and the junction, which connects with the Mweka Trail and is connected to the Barafu Campsite. This is one of the most impressive days to see the power, agility, and strength of your crew that zips over this wall with what appears to be with such ease. 
  The two peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo, can be seen from this point. Overnight at Barafu Camp at 4600 meters.

Activity Day 7

  The Day of the ascent to the summit, we get up around midnight. We will wake up, and after some tea and a light snack, you shuffle off into the night. We will head in a north-westerly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point at 5745 meters.
  The 6-hour walk to Stella Point is, for many climbers, mentally and physically the most challenging on the route. At Stella Point, we will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see. From Stella Point, we will normally encounter snow the whole way on our 1-hour ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5895 meters. The time you will spend on the summit will depend on the weather conditions. We should not stop here for too long, as it can be difficult to start again due to cold and fatigue.
  Enjoy your accomplishment and a day to remember for the rest of your life. The walk back to Barafu from the summit takes about 3 hours. Here you will have a well-earned but short rest and collect the rest of your gear before descending to the Mweka Campsite at 3100 meters, which takes about 2 hours.
